Dominic Ballard
“As ironic as it was, as a person convicted of a sexual crime, I was now in arguably the most hated group of people in society, but I no longer felt the addiction of hating myself.”

Cell Block Mirrors
I began writing Cell Block Mirrors as a way to open up about my journey and reach future readers on a deep level. In prison, I gained such a profound perspective on the world we live in, and I believe the revelations I experienced through my conviction of a sexual offense can truly help us unite with each other and heal as a society. I put my entire heart and soul into this story- it’s 100% raw, honest, and authentic. I’ve now been out of prison since January 2023, and I believe it’s my life’s purpose to take you down the unimaginable road that I’ve traveled.
Dominic is donating 20% of his book profits to the RAINN foundation to help toward the cause of ending sexual violence. If you wish to support the cause or learn more, here is a link to donate:

“Strength and vulnerability are not polar opposites like some people believe. You don’t have to choose one or the other. A true warrior accepts their emotions for what they are, while still finding a way to keep going”

Follow my journey on TikTok
You can find videos on TikTok where I share more about Cell Block Mirrors and the journey that led me to write it. I’ll be posting content not just about the book, but also about life after prison, personal growth, and everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s all part of my mission to be real, connect with others, and hopefully inspire someone out there going through their own struggles.

Quotes from Cell Block Mirrors
“From this day forward, I no longer wanted to minimize what I had done… I wanted to maximize who I am.”
“Being in this type of environment almost forces you to be aware of your surroundings, but I wanted to do more than just be aware. I wanted to be a student. I wanted to learn. I wasn’t going to just go through hell; I was going to study it.”
